    «Stay small, perform with distinction»

An Intensive Course to improve the quality of your practice for you and your patients.

This is the eighth year of the “COMBO - ENDOCRINOLOGY” annual course.

The main goal of this course is to provide trainees, fellows and early career professionals in endocrinology, gynaecology and internist with a complete, in-depth knowledge on specific hot topics of different aspects of Endocrinology in a combined (Combo Endo) approach with other medical/surgical specialties. COMBO ENDOCRINOLOGY meetings are monothematic courses providing knowledge on a different endocrine entity each year, through lectures, meet-the-expert sessions and case presentations, keeping participants on the cutting edge of scientific information and clinical best practice in Endocrinology and Diabetes. This year’s theme will be

    <<REPRODUCTIVE ENDOCRINOLOGY: Controversies and Challenges>>

This course is designed as an interactive and therefore educational tool in order participants to use it as a practical manual by increasing their knowledge on the management of patients, with reproductive endocrinology disorders. Specifically this year’s course is dedicated to Controversies and Challenges of Reproductive Endocrinology:, aiming to improve how much progress has been made in the field of reproduction, thanks to new knowledge in science as well as in techniques. Progress has been spectacular; since the diagnosis and management in several aspects of reproductive disorders in the everyday practice has becomes more and more demanding.
Participants will get extensive hands-on experience with the complete spectrum of reproductive disorders, relating to male and female infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, reproductive endocrinopathies such as androgen excess and hormone deficiency syndromes. Additionally, experts will provide the basic principles of contemporary fertility techniques, including ultrasound, insemination, ovulation induction and in vitro fertilization, that every endocrinologist and provider fertility care has to be familiarized with.
Highlights of this course are the workshops where participants in real life clinical cases presentation will exchange ideas with experts from all over the world as well as their peers, and present case scenarios themselves in a virtual conference setting.

What is most important and continuous in the 8th COMBO ENDO international course, is that is constantly supported by European Endocrine Society, Hellenic Endocrine Society and HYGEIA Hospital, Athens Greece, since it has found fertilizing ground among inspired colleagues as well as in a growing number of young physicians of several specialties. Consequently, a debt of gratitude is owed to each one of the distinguished tutors and speakers, who are embarking on their scientific topics and are serving our ultimate targets of applied endocrinology combining education with clinical practice!

Therefore, from heart thanks to their synergistic confluence that has given life to 8th COMBO ENDO, a very demanding and highly aiming interactive course. My sincere thanks go to generous financial supporters who against all odds have helped us to make steps steadily forward and sustained the scientific strength to pursue our dreams in sharing the knowledge of Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Thus, we have arrived at 8th COMBO ENDO with a certain degree of pride, but with a greater degree of responsibility to every participant, whose presence in this course consolidates our commitment and dedication to teach and practice evidence based medicine!
